Queensland’s Gambling Harm Awareness Week (GHAW) is 6 to 12 July 2026. Every year, GHAW aims to increase awareness of gambling harm, safer gambling practices and help that’s available to people affected by gambling. The 2026 theme “the odds change when the conversation starts” reflects the important role that open and honest conversations play in addressing gambling harm. Gambling harm is often a hidden issue, with many people feeling isolated or ashamed to seek help.
